Mission: The Academy for Ranch Management seeks to provide an
ecologically based land management learning experience for ranch
owners and managers. We emphasize progressive management
education to restore, monitor, and manage the rangeland
resource. We teach in an outdoor laboratory with approximately
100 years of management history. We encourage participants to
formulate their own ideas based on what they observe. A unique
learning experience is available for those landowners and managers
who want to leave their ranch "in better shape than when they
acquired it". Instructors: Dr.
Charles A. "Butch" Taylor Director and Superintendent of the
Sonora Tx. Experiment Station. Dr. Mort Kothmann Professor,
Dept. Rangeland Ecology and Mgt., Texas A&M University Mr.
