TWA South Texas leaders launch first-ever Fall Membership Drive to raise awareness
Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) leaders in South Texas have launched a first-ever Fall Membership Drive in the region to promote sound land stewardship, private property rights, conservation education, and the preservation of a rural heritage for future generations, all key issues for South Texas being pursued by the organization, according to local TWA leaders.
“Here in South Texas, we take special pride in the traditions our natural resources have generously bestowed upon us,” said Karla Welch, TWA South Texas (Region 8) Chairman. “As Texas Wildlife Association members, we understand that we cannot take that for granted. We must serve as the voice for conservation and natural resource literacy, not only for the future of Texas, but for the future of our family traditions, as well.”
Welch also states. “It is no secret that the cultural climate around us is rapidly changing. Because of this shift, we (landowners, conservationists, hunters, etc.) must maintain a proactive stance to ensure our legacy is fulfilled and our property and hunting rights are never trampled – that is what being a TWA member is all about.”
The Fall Membership Drive concludes on October 26. New members who join during the drive and current members who upgrade their membership during the drive are eligible for six member appreciation prizes. Justin Feild of Kingsville is the TWA South Texas (Region 8) Co-Chair who is assisting with this special effort.
Details of the membership appreciation prizes, along with a special membership form for the TWA South Texas Membership Drive, are available at www.texas-wildlife.org
TWA’s membership includes landowners, wildlife managers, hunters, anglers, wildlife watchers, convservationists, wildlife researchers, educators, and wildlife enthusiasts, in general.
