Land-Based Water Conservation and Water Yield Practices: Monitoring Strategies
This report describes the monitoring techniques employed during the study of land management on water yield and the recommendations to the Region L Water Planning Group. The goal of the monitoring program was to determine the amount, if any, of additional recharge and/or streamflow resulting from managing woody plants. Monitoring approaches included remote sensing, watershed comparisons, small catchment studies, micrometeorological towers and soil moisture measurements.
