Texas Wildlife Association endorses Rep. Trent Ashby
New Braunfels, TX — The Texas Wildlife Association is proud to endorse State Representative Trent Ashby for the Texas Senate District 3 seat.
“Chairman Ashby is a strong advocate for private landowner rights and has served as a champion for Texas Wildlife Association values during his tenure in the Texas House. As a proponent of our mission and values, we are proud to support his candidacy for Texas Senate District 3,” said William Thompson, Texas Wildlife Association PAC chair.
The District 3 seat is currently held by Sen. Robert Nichols who has announced that he will not seek reelection. He plans to serve out his term through Jan. 12, 2027.
Rep. Ashby was first elected to the Texas House in 2012, serving District 9 that encompasses six East Texas counties within Senate District 3.
“As a member of the Natural Resources Committee in the 89th Session and chair of the House Committee on Culture, Recreation and Tourism during the 88th Session, Chairman Ashby exhibited his commitment to the importance of working lands across Texas. As our state continues to grow and working lands diminish, legislators like Chairman Ashby are vital to the continued health of Texas’ wild things and wild places,” Thompson said.
