Texas Wildlife Association to host white-tailed deer workshop in Bryan
New Braunfels, TX–The Texas Wildlife Association is teaming with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to host a workshop titled Habitat Management for White-tailed Deer.
Slated for Oct. 3, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Brazos County Extension Office at 4153 County Park Ct. in Bryan, the workshop is designed for Brazos Valley landowners and land managers.
Topics include white-tailed deer nutritional requirements, habitat control methods, a New World screwworm update and a field demonstration at the Ecology & Natural Resources Teaching Area in College Station.
“The workshop and field day will focus on regional best practices for improved white-tailed deer management on small and large acreage properties in the Post Oak Savannah. We will have lunch and refreshments for registrants and CEUs are available,” said Megan Pineda, TWA conservation education specialist.
