Support local conservation education through San Angelo Gives
New Braunfels, TX – Help expand wildlife education initiatives in San Angelo area schools by participating in the San Angelo Gives campaign on May 5. Hosted by the San Angelo Area Foundation, Concho Valley residents can earmark a donation for Texas Wildlife Association’s (TWA) Youth Education program, Wildlife by Design, through the Texas Wildlife Association Foundation (TWAF).
TWAF’s San Angelo Area Conservation Education Initiative brings conservation education to students and communities across the region.
Since its launch:
- A dedicated conservation educator has been deployed to serve Concho Valley schools
- Programs have reached thousands of students and educators across 11 San Angelo area counties
- TWAF has expanded both youth and adult education efforts, emphasizing stewardship of land, water, and wildlife
This initiative is built on a proven education model used across Texas and tailored to meet the unique needs of the San Angelo region. It reflects TWAF’s belief that meaningful conservation begins with education and community engagement.
Wildlife by Design allows TWA’s professional educators to partner with area teachers to provide engaging, hands-on wildlife and natural resource conservation lessons for Texas students in grades K-8.
Thanks to grassroots community support, TWA has expanded its footprint in the San Angelo area with a dedicated conservation educator. Community support helps increase this important programming in San Angelo classrooms.
