Small Acreage Big Opportunity workshop coming to Brenham

The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA), Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension are partnering to host Small Acreage Big Opportunity, a workshop designed to share habitat and land use best practices for landowners.

The May 10, 2024 event, slated for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., emphasizes effective wildlife management practices and affords landowners the opportunity to network and learn from local professional who specialize in assisting landowners.

The workshop will take place at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Brenham. Topics include 1-d-1 wildlife tax valuation, nutritional needs of wildlife and livestock, cost-share opportunities, use of emerging technologies, managing feral hogs, conservation easements, small-acreage management and more.
